After more than 13 years at Independent Mediators and a mediation career spanning over 22 years Charles Dodson, one of our founding members, will be retiring at the end of this year. We at Independent Mediators have felt ourselves very fortunate to benefit from Charles’ unparalleled expertise in our field.
Charles has been involved in the development of ADR in the USA and UK since the mid 1980’s and has worked with countless organisations and governments to incorporate mediation into their systems. In many senses he was a pioneer in the field. Before becoming a mediator he was a partner in the leading London based international law firm, Lovell White Durrant, now Hogan Lovells, resident partner of the New York office and then a full-time Managing Partner of the firm.
We will miss Charles’ wonderful humour and sage advice. We wish him a wonderful retirement and many happy days sailing, fishing, and spending more time with family and friends.
