Michel Kallipetis QC paid a flying four day visit to Hong Kong in January 2019 on behalf of the International Academy of Mediators of which he is the Secretary. During his brief visit he met the Chief Justice and the Secretary of State for Justice to discuss a planned symposium in Hong Kong in the Autumn. Michel also met the Hong Kong Bar’s administrator who is keen for him to conduct another seminar on mediation advocacy for the Hong Kong Bar.

He held a seminar/interview with the Hong Kong University team for the ICC International Mediation Mooting Competition, and a seminar for the HKMC on mediation ethics to about sixty Hong Kong mediators and lawyers. Michel, Jonathan Lloyd-Jones and Phillip Howell-Richardson took part in the ICC Competition in Paris as mediators and judges in the first week of February.
